The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) on July 02, 2026, issued extension of Transitional Arrangements for Payment of Annual Fee and Issuance of Certificate of Registration.
The IRDAI has extended the transitional arrangements for payment of annual fees and issuance of Certificates of Registration for intermediaries, including Surveyors and Loss Assessors, beyond June 30, 2026. These arrangements were initially introduced pending notification of amended regulations under the Insurance Act, 1938 as updated by the 2025 amendment.
The extension will remain in force until August 31, 2026 or until the notification of the amended regulations, whichever is earlier. All other provisions of the earlier circulars remain unchanged and continue to apply.
